St. Peter’s Sunday School 2018-2019

Our program is for children in grades K-6th.  We have had two classes in the past enabling us to divide the children into age appropriate groups.

We are now in the planning stages for for the 2018-2019 year and need to know how many children and their ages to help with this.  Sunday School will be held during the church service beginning in September and ending in May, with drop off at 9:50, and will end (typically) at the “Peace”.  The children will be brought into church to join their families.

So, if you have a child or grandchild that you wish to participate in Sunday School or would like more information, please contact Jen Fitzsimmons (">, Alissa Chambers (">, or Anne Hume ("> We are also looking for volunteers to help with teaching.  The curriculum that we use is easy and no experience is necessary!

St. Peter’s by-the-Sea Sunday School Program provides opportunities for children to learn, laugh, play, build friendships, and share in the love and fellowship of our faith. St. Peter’s is blessed with many wonderful families, a supportive congregation and dedicated teachers. The Sunday school teachers are all volunteers who are have completed a background screening by the Diocese of Eastern Carolina and the Safeguarding Our Children course.

Sunday school meets during the 10am service from 10am until the Peace. The children are brought into church to participate in communion. We meet September through May. There are two classes, Kindergarten through 2nd grade (meets in the classroom off the parish hall) and 3rd through 5/6th grade (meets downstairs in the undercroft).

Throughout the year we offer many fun events for children and their families to participate in beyond that of Sunday School. For more information about upcoming events please see the church calendar and/or contact the church office.
